I currently finished a book called "Amos Fortune: Free Man". It is a great lesson for kids. The lesson is pretty much against racism. Here's a summary of "Amos Fortune: Free Man".
"It does a man no good to be free until he learns how to live." These were the words of Amos Fortune, born the son of a king in the At-mun-shi tribe, in Africa. When Amos was only fifteen years old, he was captured by slave traders and brought to Massachusetts in a slave carrier, where he was sold, at an auction! Although his freedom had been taken, Amos never lost his dignity and courage. He dreamed of freedom every day, and knew that someday, HE WILL BE FREE!
I liked this book because it was against racism and had a lot of meaning. This book teaches kids never give up and follow your dreams. I recommend this book to kids of all ages.
