Report: The House of Dies Drear

I just finished some books, including this book, The House of Dies  Drear, by Virginia Hamilton. I was kinda creeped out by this scary book.

The house held secrets, Thomas knew, even before he first saw it looming grey and massive on its ledge of rock. It had a century old legend that was haunting. Two fugitive black slaves that had escaped from their masters got killed by bounty hunter rigth in that house. Also other people believe that Dies Drear himself, who built this house as an underground rail road station, died in the house. The ghosts of the three was said to walk the rooms... and Thomas had to explore it!

I thought this book was scary because it shows how evil the whites treated the blacks in that time, and also  describes the spooky really, really well. I kind of recommend this book to you people out there... if you are not afraid!
