I currently read a book called Walk two moons, by Sharon Creech. I liked this book because it was funny, kind of creepy, and sad at the same time, like a salad. I recommend this book to kids 8+. Here's a summary.
"Dont judge a man until you've walked two moons in his moccasins" What is the meaning of this strange note left on her friend Phobe Winterbottom's door step? Only Sal knows, and on a road trip with her grandparents she tells the tale of her friend Phobe, Phobe's disappearing mom and the lunatic. But can Sal make sense of the mystery surrounding her, and her own dead mother?
