Coraline is a young girl who likes to explore. One day she found a door that led to the other world. Her other mother was there, she had buttons for eyes. Their relationship was good at first but then a cat told her the other mother just wanted to eat her. She wasn’t afraid. She won over her other mother.
The moral of the story is don’t ever trust most strangers. They might seem nice but they want to use you.
The funniest part is when she fakes a tea party with dolls and captures the other mother’s hand and throws it away. That was also weird. The main event is when Coraline basically kills the other mother.
I don’t want to make this too clear because you can read it yourself. I kind of like this. I recommend this book ages 9 and over.
