Junie B. Jones and a Little Monkey Business
I just read a book called Junie B. Jones and a Little Monkey Business. It is by Barbara Park. It was a great book.
I was about Junie B. Jones’ mother having a baby and the new baby’s room had a lamp with a giraffe, a rocking chair, a new baby dresser, a crib and wallpaper with jungle animals. When they were in the hospital, Junie B. Jones’ grandparents were there. Her grandma told her about how cute the baby would look and he was a little cute monkey. They had a great time together. The next day she had a “show and tell” and she talked about her mom having a baby monkey. Her friends didn’t believe her. At recess her best friend Lucille and Grace asked if they could see her little brother first. So Lucille pushed Grace out of the way and told Junie B. Jones to keep her locker with a special picture of her grandma in order to see her monkey brother first. Also Grace gave her a special shiny plastic ring to see her monkey brother first and it went on and on until the bell rang. When they went in and her teacher noticed Junie B. Jones gave every thing back and she went to the principal’s office. Junie B. Jones’ teacher told the principal everything about her monkey brother and more. He asked Junie B. Jones “is your brother really a monkey?” Junie B. Jones said,” my grandma said and you even can ask her”, so he did. Junie B. Jones’ grandma was very sorry that she just meant he was cute. When it was time to go home, Junie B. Jones saw her little brother baby.
I like this book because it’s funny and it attracts my attention. I love the series of Junie B. Jones. I recommend this book for 6+.
